Adult Autism, ADHD & AuDHD Evaluations in Oregon
An evaluation with time for your whole story
You may be wondering about autism, ADHD, or both after years of feeling like you’re somehow different, or merely surviving or getting by more than living. Wondering why seemingly mundane day-to-day activities and interactions take so much out of you. Or perhaps an earlier diagnosis explains part of your experience, but other treatments or medications haven’t fully helped, leaving you with important questions unanswered.
At Inner Awareness Psychiatry, your evaluation is neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based. It is about more than reaching a diagnosis. We spend time talking and exploring your history and your experiences. We look at what’s been hard, how you’ve been coping and what it costs, what has changed over time, and what life feels like from the inside—not only how it appears to others.
Understanding autism and ADHD together
Understanding whether autism, ADHD, or both are present—and, if they are, how they interact in your life—is my special interest.
When someone has both, the combination can be easy to miss. You might need structure yet struggle to maintain it, appear socially comfortable while carefully monitoring every interaction, or seem to be managing well while approaching burnout. We take time to explore how autism and ADHD may push and pull against each other or make one another less visible. We consider each on its own, as well as the possibility of both, without assuming what we’ll find.

Time to explore—and time to process
AuDHD, autism, and ADHD evaluations at Inner Awareness Psychiatry are collaborative and take place across multiple appointments over several weeks. Evaluations (and neurotype-informed psychiatric care) are deliberately designed to allow time to explore your developmental history and your life now: attention, executive functioning, communication, sensory experiences, masking, relationships, interests, and daily demands.
This process can bring up more than diagnostic questions. There may be old hurt in realizing how long something went unexplained or was misattributed, relief in finding words for an experience, or joy in gaining a deeper understanding of how your mind and nervous system work. That's why there’s time built in to review, process, learn, and integrate as we go.

A conversation about your results and a written report
A separate results exploration and feedback session is included in every evaluation. We go through the findings and the reasoning behind them, then spend time on what matters most to you. That might mean talking about masking, sensory needs, executive functioning, burnout, or how your strengths and challenges show up together.
We discuss recommendations and resources in the context of your life. The goal is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of the findings and space to ask what they mean for you.
Every evaluation also includes a written Diagnostic Findings Report explaining the diagnostic conclusions, the reasoning behind them, and individualized recommendations.
Choosing the right evaluation
The Focused Neurodevelopmental Evaluation addresses whether the findings support autism, ADHD, or both. If you also want a closer look at previous psychiatric diagnoses or how other mental health conditions may relate to your experience, the Neurodevelopmental + Psychiatric Evaluation includes that broader assessment. We can talk through which option fits your questions during a free consultation.
Evaluations are available by telehealth to adults throughout Oregon. The combined autism and ADHD (AuDHD) evaluation is $2,000 for the Focused Neurodevelopmental option or $2,900 with a psychiatric differential evaluation.
For autism-only and ADHD-only pricing and a closer look at what each evaluation includes, see Evaluation Options & Fees below.
I’m Stasha Christian, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specializing in adult autism, ADHD, and combined AuDHD evaluations. I’m also autistic and have ADHD myself. My clinical training, my own experience as an AuDHDer, and my work with neurodivergent adults all shape how I listen and what I know to ask. I want to understand why life has felt so hard in the places others may not see—and help you recognize the strengths you have been using along the way.
