Adult Autism & AuDHD Evaluation

Evaluations are conducted by a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specializing in psychiatric diagnosis, differential assessment, and psychopharmacology.

The Purpose is to provide diagnostic clarity by understanding neurodevelopmental traits within the full context of psychiatric history, treatment response, and medical factors. Evaluations integrate a focused neurodevelopmental assessment with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, allowing for careful differentiation between autism, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, mood disorders, and other overlapping presentations.

Continuing care services are expected to begin June 2026.

Some adults choose to continue care following their diagnostic evaluation.

Because autism and AuDHD evaluations at Inner Awareness Psychiatry already include a comprehensive psychiatric assessment, continuing care can focus directly on treatment and next steps rather than starting from scratch.

Care is structured around understanding what is actually driving symptoms and functional challenges—rather than focusing only on diagnosis or symptom reduction.

This may include:

• medication management when appropriate
• support with executive functioning and daily structure
• identifying patterns that contribute to burnout, overwhelm, or shutdown
• practical behavioral and environmental strategies
• neurotype-informed psychoeducation
• optional group-based support for neurodivergent adults
